TitleThey Like Jesus But Not the Church: Responding to Culture's Objections to Christianity
NotesMany in today’s emerging generation don’t like the church. Some are leaving the church; others never were a part of it. Yet they remain fascinated with Jesus. This small group curriculum by Dan Kimball will explore six of the most common objections and misunderstandings emerging generations have about the church and how the church can respond in positive ways.

Six sessions consist of:

  • The Danger of the Christian Bubble
  • Is the Church Negative, Judgmental and Political?
  • Does the Church Restrict and Oppress Women?
  • Is the Church Homophobic?
  • Do Christians Arrogantly Think All Other Religions are Wrong?
  • Are Christians Fundamentalists Who Take the Whole Bible Literally?

Includes one small group DVD, one participant’s guide, and one leader's guide.

RecommendationsPresenter Dan Kimball takes a self-described "conservative Christian" approach to theology, while at the same time urging Christians to move out of the "Christian bubble" to engage with society around them, truly listen respectfully to the objections of non-Christians, and develop a deeper understanding of what they believe and why.
