TitlePast Stories, Present Faith
NotesOur lives are a continuation of the Biblical stories of God's people and it is through sharing these stories that knowledge and wisdom can be passed from one generation to the next.

Five older adults share stories from their youth that changed their Christian lives.

  • Into the Unknown - Mary Janzen experienced the separations caused by World War I and the fright of the Russian Revolution.
  • Road to Peace - Dr. David Kliewer was a prisoner of war in Japan in WWII.
  • For a Lifetime - Ruth Funk Wiens served with the Mennonite Brethren Church as a missionary in Japan for 40 years.
  • Prayerful Commitment - Ma Tshuma helped establish over 20 congregations in Zimbabwe.
  • Voluntary Starvation - Lester Glick chose alternative service during WWII, volunteering to be a subject in the only starvation experiments ever conducted on humans.
