In the first segment of the video, Berlin Exodus, Peter Dyck tells of the miraculous escape out of the Russian sector of Berlin to the port city of Bremerhaven. 56 minutes

The second segment, Gott Kann, uses Elfieda and Peter Dyck's original black and white footage to follow the first group of Mennonite refugees out of Berlin and on to Paraguay. 32 minutes

The third segment, New Beginnings, shows the three subsequent transports to South America , including the Prussian Mennonite landing in Uraguay and the hard pioneer beginnings in the new land. 33 minutes
