| Notes | Shows how MCC and local partners in the Balkans are helping people to rebuild their lives and work for peace. Initiatives which began during the war in Bosnia and continue after the 1999 crisis over Kosovo include:
- rehabilitation of returning refugees and displaced people
- peacemakers who creatively work for
building bridges of understanding
- small churches who share what little they have to help the poorest of the poor
- institutions that lack public funding but remain committed to assist people with special needs.
