| Notes | A Buddhist peace march of over 300 pilgrims traverses former Khmer Rouge territory in Cambodia, building bridges among ordinary people who have been isolated for decades by war. Highlights some of the remaining obstacles to lasting peace: landmines, displaced people, poverty , weapons, environmental destruction, and violence against women. The Dhammayietra approaches suffering with the simple truth of compassion, wisdom and nonviolence, giving birth to the belief that peace is possible.
