Duncan Campbell Scott was a model gentleman of the turn of the century; upstanding, compassionalte and a reputable poet. Yet during his time with the federal Department of Indian Affairs he administered some of the harshest policies toward Canada's First Peoples. The video examines the influence Scott had and the legacy left by his hard- lined approach to Aboriginal assimilation.
