| Notes | MCC began when Mennonites in North America responded to Mennonites' plight in Ukraine in the 1920s. This video tells of MCC's return to Ukraine, working mostly with Baptists, whose history has close ties to the former Mennonite colonies in Ukraine. Illustrates the ways local citizens and church members are taking responsibility for needs in their community by opening an orphanage. They farm and run a bakery to support renovations and ongoing costs of the orphanage. See MCC's role in supporting these and other innovative initiatives of the Ukrainian people. |
