TitleVillage Called "No Happiness" (Neodachino)
NotesThe village of Neodachino in Siberia was a tight-knit Mennonite community until 1985. In 1985 the religious persecution by the Russian government ended. Soon after that, the German government agreed to assimilate those of German descent. Since then, families have been torn apart as people have left for Germany. The video documents the struggles from the view point of Gerhard Neufeld, the local pastor and community leader.
